Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the KhataPro mobile application and related

websites (the "Service") provided by KhataPro Technologies Pvt. Ltd.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering a contract under

the Indian Contract Act 1872 to use KhataPro. The Service is intended for

business use within India.

2. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding the phone number and OTP used to access

your account. Notify us at security@khatapro.app immediately if you suspect

unauthorised access. You may not transfer your account to anyone else.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send spam, harass any party, or violate any law.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service.
• Probe, attack, or attempt to disable the Service's security.
• Use the Service to record or process payments for goods that are illegal

to sell in India.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

4. Your content

You own the data you put into KhataPro — ledger entries, customer details,

invoices, etc. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to

host, copy, display, and back up that data solely for the purpose of

providing the Service to you.

5. Subscriptions and pricing

Some features are available on paid plans (Pro, Business). Plans are billed

through Google Play subscriptions and renew automatically until cancelled.

Pricing in INR includes applicable GST.

6. Refunds

Subscriptions are non-refundable except as required by law or as set out in

our [Refund Policy](/refund). Google Play refunds within 48 hours of purchase

are granted automatically by Google.

7. Communication providers

When you use KhataPro to send a SMS, WhatsApp message, or email, you confirm

the recipient has consented to receive communication from your business. You

remain the sender for the purposes of the Telecom Commercial Communications

Customer Preference Regulations 2018 (TRAI / DLT regulations).

8. Service availability

We aim for 99.5% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted Service. We are

not liable for downtime caused by upstream providers, force majeure, or your

own connectivity.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any

claim arising out of these Terms is capped at the greater of (a) ₹10,000 or

(b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the event giving rise

to the claim.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify KhataPro against any claim arising out of your

content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes are subject to the

exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

12. Changes

We will notify you in-app and via email at least 14 days before any material

change to these Terms.
